Kahnweiler was one of the greatest art dealers of the 20th century. His name remains closely linked to the history of Cubism. He was its first promoter, presenting the works of Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris and Fernand Léger in his Parisian gallery as early as 1908.
